Salmonella outbreak linked to consumptions of raw tomatoes

Tomatoes are being reported as the cause of 145 illnesses in 16 states. Of the ill, 23 required hospitalization. This is not the first time tomatoes have been responsible to an outbreak of foodborne illness.
